Live TEFL Prague is a thriving social hub. Trainees and instructors regularly meet socially, to catch a sports game or gig, or simply hang out in one of Prague’s cool and cultural hotspots. Coming to a new city where you don’t know anyone can be a daunting experience, but at LiveTEFL Prague you will always have a friend.
No sooner than you have arrived, the Live TEFL coordinators will whisk you off for a delicious meal. This first day lunch is perfect for getting to know your fellow trainees and instructors away from the classroom. And, importantly, we pick up the bill!
Let’s Go Sightseeing
With the first week under your belts, the weekend gives you an opportunity to finally explore the city, and we are on hand to help. Whether you wish to explore the gorgeous Karlštejn Castle or have an informed wander around Prague's own cobbled streets (you vote to decide!), our experienced guide will lead the way, pointing out cool places, and getting you nicely acquainted with the Czech Republic's rich history.
Time to Unwind?
After an intense day's studying and teaching, it's important to unwind. One way to do this - and meet new people in the process - is to join one of the regular Spěváček pub nights. These informal social meet-ups at a traditional pub or trendy café near the school, make for a terrific night. You can seek out teaching advice from other teachers, get tips on how to land a good job, or simply chat, joke, and enjoy a couple of drinks.
You've made it to the end of week 4. You've laughed, you've cried, you've taught great lessons and almost certainly fallen in love with the city. Now it’s graduation time. Your Graduation Party is the finale to a brilliant month. And let's be honest, you'll have deserved it. After picking up your TEFL certificates, it’s time for a celebration drink and a get together with colleagues and staff to toast your future success. Cheers!
